This dulling can start as a white film forming on the walls of the pool and can also make the water seem hazy. As fiberglass pools begin to age the gelcoat finish will slowly fade in color over time. Calcium scale deposits happen when your water an over abundance of calcium or from hard water. The white metal depostis are usually from calcium deposits that have accumulated over time.
